Microneedling: What to Know Before You Book

Microneedling: What to Know Before You Book

Microneedling is one of the most talked-about skin treatments right now, and for good reason — it’s versatile, it’s suitable for the face and body, and it works with your skin rather than against it. Here’s what I want every client to understand before their first session.

It’s really “collagen induction therapy”

The name sounds intense, but the idea is simple. Microneedling creates fine, controlled micro-channels in the skin. Your body responds the way it’s designed to — by renewing the area and producing fresh collagen. Over time, that can help refine texture, soften the look of fine lines and scars, and support firmer, smoother skin.

It’s a series, not a single visit

This is the part people most often get wrong. Your skin keeps renewing for days and weeks after each session, and the visible improvement builds across a series. One treatment is a good start; a series is where the results really show. Consistency matters more than intensity.

How to prepare — and recover

Come in with clean skin and realistic expectations. Afterward, any redness is usually short-lived, and we’ll give you simple aftercare to protect and support your skin while it does its work. Sun protection is non-negotiable during a series.

Pairing it with the right facial

Microneedling and a well-chosen facial make a lovely long-term pair — one supports renewal, the other keeps the skin balanced and hydrated between sessions. At your consultation we’ll build a plan that fits your skin and your calendar.

Curious whether it’s right for you? Book a consultation and we’ll take a look together. As always, individual results vary.
